Lush Salon is a family owned and run local business.  Our clientle is made up of wonderful friends, family, church members, educators and business owners of our surrounding community.  As our community supports us, we feel it our privilege to give back to our community whenever possible.  Every employee at Lush Salon has had the opportunity to get involved first hand with many charity events – donating time and services to help those both around us and in other countries. 

Outside of our community, we realize that there are many children in need of more than just education.  That is why we came up with our annual Cut-A-Thon.  Each year we set aside one day to donate our proceeds from all services and gift certificates to The Davis Lars Children’s Home in Brazil.  The Davis Lars Children's Home exists to provide a home for high-risk children. The money we donate goes directly to funding the Lake Hills Church mission trip.  They complete light construction projects and provide Biblical teaching for abandoned and abused children in the local community helping them forge a productive future.

One of our biggest local charities is the Lake Travis Education Foundation.  Established in 1985, the Foundation has supported our schools with over $1.75 million in grants and scholarships. We have been blessed to help out with fundraising events and donations whenever possible.  We hope our own children grow up with the best education possible, and this is a small way we can try to insure this for every member of our community.

In addition to the children’s home in Brazil, we have also assisted Lake Hills Church with mission trips to orphanages in Mexico.  Several of our employees have donated their time and services to visit the orphanages themselves, providing haircuts for women and children. 

Most recently, we worked closely with the Mayberry Memorial Fund to raise money for Lung Cancer Research.  This was especially close to our hearts as Lung cancer has affected our dear friend and family member.  Our clients are also our family members and their concerns and hopes for the future are part of our business.  We will always strive to better our community whenever we can.
